Thanks to Kim for teaching another superb EDS workshop today at the Arts Complex Edinburgh.

Textile Summer School – Finding a visual language

Monday 29^th July  - Thursday 1^st August

Friday 2^nd August - Accompanied Gallery visit (Edinburgh Arts Festival)

Four days to explore and develop your textile working practice with a focus on the design process.

Taking inspiration from our proximity to Arthurs seat and Holyrood park, we will explore drawing mark-making  and foraging  on location before returning to the studio to develop  exploratory surfaces in both paper and cloth. Thermofax screens, heat transfer printing and stitching will be utilised to create a series of textile samples and more resolved cloths to kick start your new body of textile art work.

The course is suitable for beginners and experienced makers. You will be working at the Arts complex Edinburgh with fully qualified teachers in a really creative and friendly environment.

Dressed To Kill

Congratulations to all the students who rocked up for their end of year fashion show

as part of Dressed to Kill at the City Arts Centre Edinburgh. Well done to Kim, all the 'tears and tiaras' were worth it.
