Paper Studies

This is an example of a mixed media paper study.
This is a key element in our design process learning and teaching.
Students follow a design brief. They research the brief and then develop a series of paper studies based on their research findings. These paper forms are then used to build 3 dimensional maquettes which are then made into ceramic forms.

Hand Built forms

Here are some examples of the work completed in our SQA certificate Hand Building class

Completed maquettes

Here is an example of a functional lidded form made from Caroline's maquette work

Pottery Maquette.

Caroline Gouldie has been making a range of interesting  maquettes as part of her Hand building unit.

These are paper experimental forms which will then be used as models for ceramic forms
